Florida Man Fakes Robbery To Get Out Of Work

Here's your Florida story for the day - a man called 911 with an elaborate robbery story, just so he could get out of going to work.

Police say 32-year-old Brian Anderson told 911 dispatchers that two gun-wielding men stole his phone, money, and necklace, then threw the phone on the ground before driving off in a black Ford Crown Victoria.

However, when cops showed up, they quickly realized none of it was true.

Anderson admitted that he made it all up to avoid working his scheduled shift at Hardees. He ended up being taken to jail on charges of giving false information to police. But at least he didn't have to go to work.
