Is a New Soundgarden Coming? Soundgarden Settles Lawsuit With Chris Cornell's Widow

A contentious four-year period between Soundgarden and the widow of late singer Chris Cornell appears to be over. The band and Vicki Cornell announced “an amicable out-of-court resolution” to multiple lawsuits, which seems to hint their legal battles are over.

Beginning in 2019, Vicki Cornell sued Soundgarden over rights to unreleased songs recorded by the band and Chris Cornell. This triggered multiple countersuits and counter-counter suits that have slowly been ruled on. The most recent settlement seems to put the main issues of rights and royalties behind both parties… and perhaps bring us Cornell’s last music at last.

“The reconciliation marks a new partnership between the two parties,” announced Soundgarden and Vicki Cornell in a joint statement. “Which will allow Soundgarden fans around the world to hear the final songs that the band and Chris were working on. The two parties are united and coming together to propel… Soundgarden's incredible legacy as well as Chris's indelible mark on music history - as one of the greatest songwriters and vocalists of all time.”

The Top Ten Essential Items to Bring to a Music Festival

Coachella continues this Friday, and Stagecoach is next weekend.  Someone posted a list of the top essentials to pack if you're going to a music festival this year.  Here are the top ten things you don't want to forget . . .

1.  Your tickets or wristband.  If you forget those, nothing else matters.

2.  A reusable water bottle.  Most festivals allow them, but read the fine print.  Coachella and Stagecoach only allow reusable PLASTIC bottles, no metal.

3.  Packets of electrolytes to mix in.  They can keep you even more hydrated.

4.  Sunblock.  Especially if you're going in the summer.

5.  A mini electric fan.  Again, for summer concerts especially.

6.  Sunglasses.  Don't let the sun ruin your view.

7.  A clear backpack.  A lot of festivals allow normal bags too, but check first.

8.  A portable phone charger.  Meaning a battery pack you can use to charge up.

9.  Band-Aids.  In case you get a blister on your foot from walking around.

10.  Tylenol.  In case the loud music gives you a headache, or you're achy from being on your feet all day.
