I think we can officially say that Kpop is everywhere . . . now that it's invading Shark Week.
Shark Week kicks off next Friday on the Discovery Channel, beginning at 8:00 p.m. with a special called "K-pop Shark Heroes", featuring actor Ken Jeong and singer REI AMI.
Both of them were in the voice cast of "Kpop Demon Hunters". He played the group's manager Bobby and she was Zoey's singing voice.
The purpose of the special is to, quote, "launch a public awareness campaign that educates, empowers and shifts the narrative around sharks through the power of K-pop."
Other shows in this year's lineup include:
"Jurassic Sharks"
"Jaws vs Orca"
"Invasion of the Mega Sharks"
"Expedition X: Atomic Sharks"
"Alien Sharks: Untamed America"
"How to Train a Great White"
"My Strange Shark Addiction"
"Sharkzilla Takes New York"
If these titles don't scream "educational programming," I don't know what does.
Check out SharkWeek.com for the complete lineup.
