The Foo Fighters Are Back In The Studio
This is not a drill. The Foo Fighters are getting back to work at Dave Grohl's 606 Studio in Los Angeles, posting a teaser photo showing the six band members in a circle with only their legs and footwear visible. The band wrote "Foo Fighters Assemble!!!" and encouraged fans to subscribe to their newsletter for "info you won't want to miss." This appears to be the start of sessions for their follow-up to 2023's "But Here We Are" album. It's been an eventful year for the band, with drummer Josh Freese being fired in May and replaced by Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin in July. The band also released two songs in July to commemorate their 30th anniversary, including a Minor Threat cover that had been in their vault since 1995 and an original song called "Today's Song." The studio return suggests new material is in the works, with more updates expected in the coming weeks and months.

A Fyre Festival Musical Is in the Works
The Fyre Festival is back . . . but not in festival form.
There's actually a play in the works called "Fyre Fest the Musical". It's a comedy based on the debacle that was the original 2017 Fyre Festival.
The producers include Rita Ora and her husband Taika Waititi, director of "JoJo Rabbit", "What We Do in the Shadows", and the last two "Thor" movies.
Taika says, quote, "I think the idea is exciting, weird, and potentially disastrous, which seems apt and is how I like to work. I can't wait to get started and snatch me some of that sweet American theater money."

Nonpoint's Next Project Will Be A Full-Length Album
Nonpoint drummer Robb Rivera has announced that the band is planning to release their first full-length album in eight years, with around 16 songs already written. Rivera said they've been working on the material for about two years and plan to release a 10-song album next year. The band has been experimenting with EPs since their last full album in 2018, releasing "Ruthless" in 2021, "Heartless" in 2023, and the single "Underdog" in 2024. Rivera explained that they used to release albums every two years in a cycle of record, tour, and write, but it became overwhelming after 10 albums. The pandemic also forced them to delay plans when they had an EP ready in 2020. Rivera noted that while they haven't released a full album since 2018, they've actually put out 11 songs through EPs and singles, which essentially equals a full album done in parts.
