Look-alike contests seem to be more popular than ever these days. And Coney Island is hosting a Pee-wee Herman look-alike contest this Sunday.
Not only is it to honor the late Paul Reubens, but also to celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Pee-wee's Big Adventure".
Of course, Pee-wee costumes are expected, but there will also be a category for those who want to dress-up as their favorite character from "Pee-wee's Playhouse" and a category for any Pee-wee movie character.
So you know, like Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi, Large Marge, or Dottie. A co-host for the contest says, quote, "We can't wait to see how creative the people of New York City and beyond are going to get."
