Food: A DoorDash ranking Shows Pumpkin Spice isn’t The Most Popular Flavor

A DoorDash ranking shows Pumpkin Spice isn’t The Most Popular Fall Flavor:

When fall approaches, everything pumpkin spice begins to appear. Doordash has discovered, though, that it is not the only autumn treat people love. The delivery service did a breakdown of favorite fall flavors by state and the results are interesting. Apple is actually the top fall flavor across 18 states, especially in the South and Mid-Atlantic. Caramel is king in 13 states across the Midwest, including Illinois, Iowa, both Dakotas, and Oklahoma. Michigan has their own flavor…maple while Texas overwhelmingly is into pecan, which is the fasting rising fall flavor. The rest of the country is sticking with pumpkin spice.

Popeyes Relaunches Wings With 4 New Dry Rubs

Popeyes is relaunching their wings along with four new dry rubs for the fall season. Returning are fan-favorites Signature Hot, Sweet ‘N Spicy, and Honey BBQ along with Ghost Pepper, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parm, and Buffalo dry rubs.

The updated wings have ignited a debate on r/fastfood subreddit, with some customers saying the portions were small and price didn’t match the size, comparisons to grocery store fried chicken, and complaints regarding crunch and heat. The Garlic Parm was said to be a standout in the positive category.

Popeyes has also teamed up with quarterback Baker Mayfield for the “Better Wings, Better Mayfield” campaign to celebrate the relaunch. Fans can grab a free six-piece order on each Monday after every Baker Mayfield touchdown with any $10-plus digital purchase starting September 4. That deal is available on the Popeyes app or online and prices start at $5.99.
