Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne Biopic Is Still Moving Forward
A representative for Polygram Entertainment has confirmed to Variety that the Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne biopic is still moving forward, and that "they're currently in negotiations with a director, which could be confirmed very soon."
It was reported by Variety back in October 2021 that Ozzy and Sharon had partnered with Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment for the film, which will focus on the love story between the BLACK SABBATH frontman and his wife and manager. It will be scripted by Lee Hall, who previously worked on Elton John's "Rocketman".
Ozzy and Sharon, along with their children Jack and Kelly, discussed the biopic in an April 2024 episode of their revived podcast.
"By the time they finish this film, I'll be dead… I wanna be alive to fucking see it," Ozzy said at the time. "Movies take forever to make. Forever," Sharon added.
Asked which actress she would like to play her in the biopic, Sharon said: "Florence Pugh or the little girl from 'Game Of Thrones'."
The film is being produced by Sharon and her children Jack and Aimée Osbourne via their label Osbourne Media (which was also behind the Showtime documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" and A&E's "Biography: The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne"),alongside Michele Anthony and David Blackman on behalf of Polygram Entertainment. Andrea Giannetti is overseeing development for Sony.

It's a 12-hour Road Trip, and You Can Only Listen to One Singer. Who Are You Listening To?
One of the keys to a great road trip is a KILLER PLAYLIST . . . and for some folks, that might be just be going through Weird Al's discography from start to finish.
Someone went on social media and asked, "You're on a 12-hour road trip, and can only listen to ONE singer, who are you listening to?" And here were some of the most popular responses . . .
1. David Bowie. "You won't run out of songs, that's for sure."
2. Paul McCartney. Speaking of not running out of material, this is about a SINGER, so with Paul you'd get a big chunk of The Beatles, plus Wings.
3. Chris Cornell. You could go through Soundgarden and Audioslave.
4. Pink Floyd. David Gilmour has some solo work you could add to the mix.
5. Tom Petty.
6. Johnny Cash.
7. Paul Simon.
8. Led Zeppelin. That's Robert Plant. You could add some Alison Krauss?
9. Prince.
10. Queen. That's Freddie Mercury.
11. Radiohead. That's Thom Yorke.
12. Ozzy Osbourne. "All Aboard! Ha, ha, ha . . . ay . . . ay . . . ay . . ."
13. Pearl Jam. That's Eddie Vedder. Although for a very specific voice like Eddie, 12 hours might be a lot . . . even if you're into the later stuff.
14. Taylor Swift. On the flipside, Taylor offers some vocal variety.
15. Beck. And Beck offers plenty of musical variety . . . similar to those old-schoolers from the '60s, '70s, and '80s who were in multiple bands.
16. Michael Jackson.
17. Coheed and Cambria.
18. Beyonce.
19. Dave Matthews.
20.Conor Oberst(ofBright Eyes)
21. Drake.
22 . Morgan Wallen. Does he have enough material for 12 hours?
23."Weird Al" Yankovic. A lot of people did mention him, actually.
24.One person said, "Depends . . . do I like the people I'm with?If I don't, thenBarry Manilow."
25. This must be a joke: Quote, "I was driving to San Francisco from Las Vegas with my cousin. There and back, about nine hours each way, with one CD . . .
"Well, she thought it was a CD. It was a single. One song.Nickelback, 'How You Remind Me'.When we realized it was only a single, we went for it!! That's all we listened to the entire time, both ways . . .
"Now I have a strange reaction to it when it comes on somewhere."

Trivium has announced a new three-song EP "Struck Dead" coming October 31st, and released the first single, "Bury Me With My Screams."
Bassist Paolo Gregoletto said they started writing new songs in 2023 while rehearsing for their "Ascendancy" 20th anniversary tour, and the energy from revisiting that classic album influenced the new material. What began as one single for the tour grew into three songs as they waited for their studio construction to finish. The EP serves as their first release from their new studio and includes tracks "Bury Me With My Screams," "Struck Dead (Pain Is Easier To Remember)," and "Six Walls Surround Me." The band will debut the new songs live at Bloodstock Open Air festival today and will tour with Jinjer and Heriot starting October 31st.
