Two notable deaths were reported over the July 4th weekend.
Actor Michael Madsen died Thursday morning of an apparent cardiac arrest. He was 67. He was probably best known for his association with Quentin Tarantino.
He was in "Reservoir Dogs", "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", the "Kill Bill" movies, and "The Hateful Eight".
He could have had the John Travolta role in "Pulp Fiction", but he had to turn it down because he was already committed to "Wyatt Earp".
He has more than 340 acting credits on IMDB.com, including "The Natural". "Thelma and Louise", "Free Willy", and "Sin City".
Michael's sister, actress Virginia Madsen, said, quote, "I'll miss our inside jokes, the sudden laughter, the sound of him. I'll miss the boy he was before the legend; I miss my big brother."
