Food News: Costco Food Court Introduces Two Wild New Menu Items

Costco Food Court Introduces Two Wild New Menu Items

Costco Food Court has quite a cult following, and their $1.50 hot dog and soda deal has become famous since 1984 without a change in price. There are other favorites as well, and they have just announced two new additions to the Food Court Menu with Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and Cold Mocha Freeze.

  1. Frozen Strawberry Lemonade – this new drink sells for $2.99 and is made with real fruit and no artificial flavors or colors. It appears as a frozen lemonade with small chunks of berries. It contains 250 calories.
  2. Cold Brew Mocha Freeze – also selling for $2.99, this drink is made with cold brew iced coffee, Kirkland Signature Colombian beans, and premium chocolate. The only downside is that it checks in at 580 calories.

There have been many comments about the new drinks including “Costco just released a NEW drink just in time for summer! RUN DON’T WALK to try the new Frozen Strawberry Lemonade. However, I wish they provided wider straws so the strawberry chunks didn’t get stuck.” Others chimed in about the straws as well. Most like the new coffee drink but some said it was two sweet. One Redditor said “It is so sweet!! I’ve asked them to give me just the cold brew freeze without the mocha syrup to cut down on the sweetness.”

You can try the new drinks for yourselves at Costco Food Courts nationwide.

Today is National Hydration Day. It's hot. Drink water, even for a short walk.

Each June 23, the U.S. celebrates National Hydration Day. Proper hydration is vital to living a healthy life, but it’s often overlooked. It’s easy to forget to carry a water bottle on a hot day outside, but skipping out on H2O can lead to major health risks. National Hydration Day was created in honor of late football coach Victor Hawkins, who invented a special hydrating mouthguard to keep his players healthy on the field. SafeTGard, the company that now sells his invention, launched the holiday after Hawkins’ passing to honor his legacy and to encourage others to stay hydrated. Whether you’re a professional athlete, a casual exerciser, or someone who simply loves to spend time outside in the sun, drinking water is key to avoiding heat stroke, dehydration, and other dangerous issues. Celebrating National Hydration Day is a great way to raise awareness!
