The Talking Heads' Big Announcement Was . . . A New Video for "Psycho Killer"

The Talking Heads had teased some kind of announcement for yesterday, which was the 50th anniversary of their first performance.

Fans were hoping for some kind of a reunion. You know, a tour, an album, maybe even a single show. What they got was . . . well, a lot less than any of those things.

The band released the first ever music video for the song "Psycho Killer", starring Saoirse Ronan as a woman unraveling due to being trapped in a cyclical 9-to-5 existence.

The band says, quote, "This video makes the song better. We LOVE what this video is NOT; it's not literal, creepy, bloody, physically violent or obvious."

And Saoirse said, quote, "To simply be mentioned in the same breath as Talking Heads is hands down one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me . . .

"I have grown up listening to their music, so this truly is a childhood / teenage / lifelong dream come true."
