Your Super Bowl Party Can Be Cheaper This Year . . . if You Serve Less Beer

Two new reports on Super Bowl spending just came out. And good news, bad news: Your Super Bowl party CAN cost less this year . . . but you might not want it to.

An annual report by Wells Fargo looked at the average price of different Super Bowl staples. They claim the overall price has stayed pretty much flat: A party for 10 people will cost $139, up just 10 cents from 2024.

It depends on what you buy though. And to really make your Super Bowl party cost less, you'll want to go heavy on . . . broccoli, celery, and cauliflower.

They track 17 different prices. Nine things on their list will cost less this year, and eight will cost more. Here's the breakdown . . .

Things that will cost less: Celery, down about 8% . . . broccoli, 7% . . . potato chips, 5% . . . frozen shrimp, 4% . . . cauliflower, 4% . . . frozen pizza, 4% . . . tortilla chips, 1% . . . salsa, 1% . . . and nacho cheese, 1%.

Things that will cost more: Cherry tomatoes, up 12% . . . avocados, 12% . . . red bell peppers, 7% . . . chicken wings, 7% . . . baby carrots, 3% . . . beer, 2% . . . wine, 2% . . . and onion dip, 2%.

LendingTree just released their own report, but it's a little different. It looks at what the average Super Bowl viewer's total spend will be when you factor in food, merch, and GAMBLING.

The average person said they expect to spend $142, up 22% from last year. But again, that includes gambling. So, not all of it is money you HAVE to spend.

32% of people who plan to bet on the game said they'll wager less than $50 . . . 27% said up to $100 . . . 41% said more than that.
