A Woman Got Herself Stuck Upside Down in a Crevice Between Boulders

What's the craziest thing you've done to rescue your phone? Maybe you've reached into a toilet . . . or maybe you've sorted through trash in a dumpster. Well, this lady has you beat.

A 20-something woman in Australia was rock climbing earlier this month, when she dropped her phone and it slipped down a crevice between the boulders.

She figured she might be able to squeeze herself through to retrieve it . . . but apparently she didn't consider an escape plan.

She got all the way inside . . . to the point where you could only see her feet between the rocks . . . when she became stuck, UPSIDE DOWN. She didn't have her phone to call for help, and she couldn't move.

Fortunately, she was NOT trekking alone . . . and her friends were able to figure out where she was, and make an emergency call.

The crews got there, and it was NOT an easy fix. They had to have several boulders moved just to get access to her . . . including one that was over 1,000 pounds.

And even then, the workers navigated her, feet-first up through a "tight S-bend," which took an hour. The woman was calm and collected . . . and was able to do what the rescuers asked.

After SEVEN HOURS stuck upside down in the rocks, she was freed.

She was checked out at the hospital, and she's okay . . . somehow she made it out with only a few cuts and bruises.

And after all of this, her phone was . . . NOT recovered. It slid through the crevices of the rocks, and was never found, even after they moved those boulders to free her.
