Darius Rucker (HOOTIE) Falls on Stage, Olivia Rodrigo Falls Into a Trap...

If you're gonna embarrass yourself, at least do it in front of your friends . . .

Darius Rucker fell on stage at his Hootie & the Blowfish show in Charleston, South Carolina, on Saturday. It's his hometown, so that made it sting a little more.

They'd just started his 2009 solo hit "Alright" when it happened, but he didn't fall hard. He actually kept singing on his way down and managed to get out the line, "I've got a stereo." He was tripping over a speaker . . . so that was fitting.

He popped back up laughing, and blamed it on being "old as [hell]."

A bunch of people online think he was DRUNK. But his bandmates were laughing about it, and it didn't seem like he was slurring his words or anything.

He turned 58 in May, so he's not exactly young anymore. But he also had that DUI arrest for weed and mushrooms this year, so he's been facing more scrutiny. He got sentenced to probation for it last month.

She said, quote, "Oh my God, that was fun. I'm okay! Sometimes there's a just a hole in the stage. That's alright! Okay, where was I?"
