Motley Crue Announced New "Dogs of War" Single
Mötley Crüe is releasing their brand-new song "Dogs of War" tomorrow, the first new music from the band since their 2019 collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly. It’s also their first recording with new guitarist John5 who replaced Mick Mars. Frontman Vince Neil says the track blends "old school meets new school" and was produced by longtime Crüe collaborator Bob Rock, who the band says they love working with. The accompanying music video is an animated, apocalyptic CGI affair directed by Nick DenBoer.
Meanwhile, the band has signed a new deal with Big Machine Records to release the new song and future music, while their catalog remains with BMG. The Crüe is also planning to release more new music next year, with bassist Nikki Sixx constantly coming up with new material. Wanna see’em live? The band will be playing select shows in 2023, starting in May, as they continue to build momentum after the success of the 2019 biopic "The Dirt" which brought in a new generation of fans.

John Lennon's 12-string acoustic guitar that he played in the Beatles movie "Help!" was found in an attic after being missing for 50 years. It'll go on the auction block on May 29th, and it's expected to fetch a high bid.
Here is John playing it on the album and in the film, "Help!".
Some speculate it could fetch more than Kurt Cobain's acoustic guitar, which sold for six million. The guitar was played on "Norwegian Wood", "Girl", "I've Just Seen a Face", and "It's Only Love". The article says it was played by "most members" of the Beatles, but that would've only been John and George since Paul is left-handed.
Lennon gifted the guitar to Gordon Waller of Peter & Gordon, who in turn later gave the guitar to its current owners. For the past five decades, it has laid unplayed.

Chris Stapleton Sings About His Love for John Stamos
Jimmy Kimmel had Chris Stapleton on his show and he absolutely killed it on their "Wing It and Sing It" segment. Jimmy explained that Chris used to love the show "Full House", specifically John Stamos.
So, the song they had Chris sing was sort of a loving tribute to his "hero", John Stamos. He had never seen the lyrics before, so he truly had to "wing it". And, he only broke character once throughout the song, which is incredible, because it was really funny the whole time.
Some of the best lines from the song are, "He's the reason I'm singing this ballad . . . He's the feta cheese in my Greek Salad." And, "Dear God, tell me honestly, is it a sin . . . For wishin' I'd been born a third Olsen twin."
Towards the end of the song, John Stamos appeared wearing a Chris Stapleton shirt and the crowd went crazy. Chris seemed both genuinely surprised and happy. But then he realized he had more to sing.
The closing line of the song was, "Holy [shoot], wow, now my dream has come true . . . John Stamos you're awesome, and I do love you."

Sammy Hagar To Get Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame
Rock legend Sammy Hagar is being honored with a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, becoming the 2,779th star to grace the sidewalk. The ceremony is set for this Tuesday with Hagar's celebrity friend Guy Fieri serving as the emcee, along with being joined by fellow musician John Mayer and Hagar's longtime friend Tom Consolo.
Hagar, known as the "Red Rocker," began his illustrious music career as the frontman of the 1970s hard rock band Montrose, before embarking on a successful solo career and later joining the iconic band Van Halen, helping pen hits like "Why Can't This Be Love" and "Right Now." In more recent years, Hagar has remained active with his solo band The Circle and the supergroup Chickenfoot, while also launching a liquor brands like Cabo Wabo Tequila and Santo Spirits.
Hagar is currently preparing for his "Best of All Worlds Tour," where he'll perform a Van Halen-heavy with an all-star backing band of Anthony, Satriani, and drummer Jason Bonham kicking off in July. Tickets info found here.

A Long-Lost Johnny Cash Album Is Coming Out This Summer
Big news for fans of the Man in Black: Johnny Cash has a NEW ALBUM coming this summer, more than 20 years after his death.
It's called "Songwriter", out June 28th. It's a collection of 11 original songs he wrote and recorded demos for in 1993. He passed away a decade later in 2003.
Only two of them have ever been released in any form: "Drive On" and "Like a Soldier" were both on his "American Recordings" album in 1994.
The other nine songs are brand new . . . or, "brand new" to US anyway. He wrote them over 30 years ago.
His son John Carter Cash found the demos and rounded up a bunch of musicians to help flesh them out.
They just released the first track from it, called "Well Alright".
