Dan Schneider watched that new docuseries "Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" . . . and he's really sorry.
In a video interview released yesterday, he said it was "very difficult" to watch, and, quote, "I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology."
He added, quote, "I wish I could go back, especially to those earlier years of my career, and bring the growth and the experience that I have now and just do a better job and never, ever feel like it was OK to be an [A-hole] to anyone, ever."
Schneider also agreed that some jokes the kids told on those Nickelodeon shows crossed a line, and he's all for CUTTING them. And he admitted he engaged in pretty bad behavior in writers' rooms.
And he admitted he never should have asked anyone on the set to give him massages. Quote, "I'd never do it today. I'm embarrassed that I did it then. I apologize to anybody that I ever put in that situation."
