WEEZER Will Play Debut Album In "Voyage To The Blue Planet" Tour

Weezer, Flaming Lips, and Dinosaur Jr. live on September 28th at the Toyota Center. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am at ToyotaCenter.com.

Rock fans have spent 30 years enjoying “The Blue Album,” and now it’s time to celebrate. Weezer has announced their partying for the birthday of their debut album by playing it in full on the “Voyage To The Blue Planet” tour.

The jaunt will travel North America from late summer into the fall, beginning on September 4th in St. Paul, Minnesota. Joining the rockers on their trek will be supporting acts The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr.

And in another milestone celebration, Weezer’s also announced they’ll be jamming one-night only with Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar in Los Angeles on Friday. The two bands played together on Weezer’s first-ever show in 1992. Tickets for the tour drop on Friday.

311 loves hitting the road during the summer… and 2024 will be no exception. The rock vets have announced a new jaunt traveling the US along with special guests Awolnation and Neon Trees.

The effort kicks off July 20th in Cincinnati, OH, and bops around the country through August 31st, where they’ll wind things down in Redmond, WA. “This tour was a staple of the summer for the band and fans, and we can’t wait to experience that atmosphere again with all of you,” wrote 311 in a statement. Metallica Is Reissuing Four Albums: Metallica is reissuing four special limited edition albums on colored vinyl.

Those albums include "Garage Inc.," "St. Anger," "Death Magnetic," and "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct," which will roll out one by one through July. The first release, "Garage Inc," will be on a blue vinyl and be available April 5th.

"All By Myself" Singer Eric Carmen Passed Away 

 

 

'70s power pop singer Eric Carmen passed away in his sleep over the weekend. He was 74.

 

 

He found success as the lead singer of the Raspberries with hits like "Go All the Way" and "I Wanna Be With You".

 

 

After the band broke up in the mid-'70s, he launched a solo career, and had several hits including "All By Myself""Never Gonna Fall in Love Again", and "Hungry Eyes" from "Dirty Dancing".

 

 

His wife shared the news on his website. Quote, "It brought him great joy to know, that for decades, his music touched so many and will be his lasting legacy. Please respect the family's privacy as we mourn our enormous loss . . .

 

 

 "Love Is All That Matters . . . Faithful and Forever."

 

 

No cause of death or exact date has been given.
