Music News: Green Day Gets Another Igloo Cooler

Green Day Gets Another Igloo Cooler

Igloo and Green Day are back at it, launching another punk-rock cooler collab. The new Green Day Little Playmate cooler gives a cheeky nod to the “Dookie” album, which was the band’s third studio album…and happened to win a GRAMMY.

Adrienne Berkes, Head of Marketing at Dometic Mobile Cooling, put out a statement about their latest offering, saying, “Hot off the release of the Nimrod KoolTunes, our first collab with punk icons Green Day, we’re now launching a Dookie Cooler Collection — on the day of the epic album’s 30th anniversary, and our excitement for it is next-level,” adding, “Dookie’s wild and unique artwork is perfect for taking over this special-edition Playmate cooler and reusable can. Fans will be out-of-their-minds pumped on these Dookie coolers.”

Dookie Little Playmate runs $39.99, while the stainless steel Dookie 16 Oz Can will set ya back $19.99.

A Carrie Underwood and Disturbed Collaboration Is in the Future

Disturbed singer David Draiman invited Carrie Underwood to come sing with the band at their stop in Nashville on the 17th. Unfortunately, she won't be in town, but she did say, quote, "Our time will come . . .".

David replied, quote, "Anytime . . . anywhere! You name it! Nothing but respect." It sounds like some sort of collaboration is definitely in the future.

NIKKI SIXX Awarded Legal Fees From Alleged Stalker

Nikki Sixx has announced that he's scored a legal victory against an alleged stalker that has been harassing the rock star and his family. In a post to X, the rocker reported that he’d been “awarded legal fees” from a stalker who allegedly targeted him and his family, adding that they were "now just awaiting sentencing." "People can’t do whatever they want when it comes to my family,” the bassist said. "It’s important to hold these people accountable."

The Motley Crue bassist has had trouble with at least two alleged stalkers - trouble enough that the FBI got involved. He has said that "a deranged woman from Tennessee" and "another stalker from a different part of the country" had both been harassing and threatening his family.

And Sixx is over it. He noted that his recent legal victory came against "stalker number 2." "Also because of the weather the first stalker’s sentencing got pushed back a little," he reported. "That’s coming soon too. We are asking for three years in jail. We are using the legal system to hold bad people accountable. When your daughter and wife get threatened all bets are off."
