Food News: Ketchup Challenge Is Your Man Capable of Cleaning It Up?

Ketchup Challenge: Is Your Man Capable of Cleaning It Up?

Something called the "Ketchup Challenge" blew up on TikTok this week. It's all about making fun of guys for being bad at cleaning.

You squirt an ample amount of ketchup on your kitchen counter, and ask your husband or boyfriend to clean it up for you. Then you watch to see if he does a good job, or just spreads it around and quits before it's actually "clean."

Heinz even got in on it. They posted one where a guy says sure, he'll clean it up. Then he hops in the car and buys French fries, so he doesn't waste the ketchup.

TikTok Trend: People Are Eating Deep-Fried Toothpicks

It's amazing how much of the news sounds like satire now: The newest TikTok food trend is . . . deep-fried TOOTHPICKS. And no, it's not just a silly name. People are actually cooking toothpicks and eating them.

It's mainly a thing in South Korea. Health officials there just had to put out a statement telling people to stop doing it. Quote, "This is not a product to eat. Their safety has not been verified."

This one key detail is really important though: The toothpicks they're eating are NOT made of wood. Most toothpicks in South Korea are made using a mix of corn and potato starch. So that's why they're somewhat edible.

People are deep-frying them in oil and posting the footage on TikTok. They puff up and kind of look like shoestring fries, but they're green. Then you toss some seasoning or powdered cheese on top. People say they have a similar consistency to rice cakes.

Just to be totally clear one more time, kids: Do NOT try doing this with wooden toothpicks. Eating those would not be a fun experience.

Reese's Pink Valentine's Day Hearts Look Like Something Else When Turned Upside Down

Do you like candy with nuts? Then you'll love this product . . .

Reese's brought back their pink peanut butter hearts for Valentine's Day. And they're all over social media after people realized they look like something ELSE when viewed at the right angle. Or WRONG angle.

If you flip them upside down, they bear a striking resemblance to a part of the MALE ANATOMY. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

If you can't picture the Reese's hearts we're talking about, they're more vertical than round. So as a bonus, they look very DROOPY when turned upside down.

They've been available on Amazon since at least 2019, so they're not a brand-new product. We'll see if this new revelation helps or hurts sales.
