Burt Young . . . who played Paulie in the first six "Rocky" movies . . . passed away earlier this month. He was 83 years old.
Burt died on October 8th, but there's no word on the cause of death. His manager said, quote, "Burt was an actor of tremendous emotional range. He could make you cry, and he could scare you to death.
"But the real pathos that I experienced was the poignancy of his soul. That's where it came from.
Burt's other films included "Back to School", "Once Upon a Time in America", "The Pope of Greenwich Village", and "Chinatown". He also appeared on an episode of "The Sopranos" as the father of Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri.
Burt wasn't in the "Creed" movies because Paulie was already dead by then.
