Here's Why You Should Put Your Car Keys Inside a Metal Box

 

 

A TikTok'er named Brian Mello has gone viral with a video showing how car thieves can hack into your key fob . . . and steal your car.  He shows a home security video of thieves using a special antenna that performs a "relay attack."

 

 

It amplifies the signal coming FROM the key fob in the house, and it tricks the car into thinking the fob is very close.  There IS a way to avoid this.  Put your key fob in a metal box to block the outside signal.
