Lars Ulrich went after Napster and its users two decades ago for stealing his music. He took a public beating for it and became the biggest villain in music. But now . . . he's not worried about it.
He's on the new episode of the "SmartLess" podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.
And he said, quote, "I'm just happy that [effing] anybody cares about what we're doing and shows up to see us play and still stream or buy or steal our records or whatever. The engagement itself, I think, is the triumph and the victory."

Jelly Roll Didn't Waste His Chance to Yell "Drivers, Start Your Engines"
If you haven't seen Jelly Roll Grand Marshalling NASCAR's playoff race on Sunday, check it out.
It was at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. People don't always get fully into it when they say, "Drivers, start your engines." But he WENT for it.
He screamed so hard you could actually see him shaking at one point.
NASCAR posted the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, and said, "The energy has been brought."
Jelly retweeted it and joked that he "understood the assignment."

STATIC-X PUSHES UPCOMING ALBUM BUT RELEASES NEW MUSIC
It’s bad news for Static-X fans who’ve been awaiting their new album. The industrial rockers have announced “Project Regeneration: Vol. 2” is being pushed to next year.
The band didn’t release a reason for the delay as of this writing, but they confirmed the new release date is set for January 26th, 2024. And Static-X also gave fans a little reward for their continued patience: a ten-song teaser. This mash-up from the new LP follows “Stay Alive,” the first single the band released earlier this month.

Mick Jagger Isn't Opposed to a Hologram Tour
It's not lost on 80-year-old Mick Jagger that he won't be around forever. But that doesn't mean The Rolling Stones can't be.
He says, quote, "You can have a posthumous business now, can't you? You can have a posthumous tour. The technology has really moved on since the ABBA thing."
Of course, he's talking about the ABBA's "Voyage" concert in London with holograms. But the Stones won't be slowing down to holograms anytime soon.
Tomorrow they're releasing a song called "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" featuring Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder. It's from their album "Hackney Diamonds", which comes out October 20th.
