It can be hard to find a missing cat in the neighborhood . . . and it can be hard to find a missing STEALTH FIGHTER JET . . . in THE SKY.
On Sunday afternoon, the Marines LOST an F-35 stealth fighter jet in South Carolina when the pilot ejected. The pilot parachuted into a North Charleston neighborhood and was taken to the hospital. He's in stable condition.
The military hasn't said why the pilot ejected. But for more than 24 hours, they didn't know where the jet was . . . if it was still in the air, or if it had crashed.
They even asked the public for help finding the aircraft.
Yesterday, at about 6:30 P.M., they announced that they'd found the F-35 in a debris field, about two hours northeast of Joint Base Charleston. They say the "mishap" is under investigation.
As far as we know, no one was hurt in the crash.
