The Beastie Boys Street Corner Dedication
Beastie Boys Square was unveiled this weekend at the intersection of Ludlow and Rivington in Manhattan's Lower East Side. That's the street corner on the cover of their 1989 album "Paul's Boutique."
Mike Diamond . . . a.k.a. Mike D . . . and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz were there for the unveiling. Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away in 2012.
Ad-Rock had an interesting take on the honor. Quote, "It makes me really happy to know that some kid on the way to school 50 years from now is gonna look up and say, 'What the [eff] is a Beastie Boy? Why do they get a square?'"

Chad Kroeger Is Done Talking About How Everybody Hates Nickelback
The upcoming documentary "Nickelback: Hate to Love" addresses the crazy backlash Nickelback has received from haters over the years.
And as far as Chad Kroeger is concerned, that's the LAST WORD on it.
He says, quote, "I'm over it. We made a documentary, and everybody can watch it. And now, from this day forward, if anybody asks that question in the press, it's like that's the end of the interview.
"So if you want to end an interview, that's all you have to say and that will be it."
He adds quote, "If somebody stuck that thing in your face every single day and said, 'The whole world hates you like this, the whole world hates you. What do you have to say about that? Every single day. Every day.
"Would there be reluctance on your behalf to talk about it? Would you get pissed off? Would you be over it after a while?"
