After Danny Masterson was convicted of raping two women, his "That '70s Show" co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis wrote letters on his behalf, asking for leniency from the court.
Well, those letters leaked on Friday, and it didn't look good for Ashton and Mila. So they posted an apology video. They said Danny's family reached out to them a few months ago and asked them to write the letters.
But they said, quote, "The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury's ruling.
"They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way. We would never want to do that. And we're sorry if that has taken place."
They added, quote, "We support victims. We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future . . . Our heart goes out to every single person who's ever been a victim of sexual assault, sexual abuse, or rape."
In Ashton's letter to the court, he called Masterson a "role model" with "exceptional character," who helped him avoid getting addicted to drugs.
Mila called him, quote, "an exceptional older brother figure" and a "guiding light."
Co-stars Kurtwood Smith, Debra Rupp, and director David Trainer also wrote letters on behalf of Danny.

Is Ashton Kutcher "Just as Sick" as Danny Masterson?
A massive can of worms opened up for Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis when their letters of support for Danny Masterson were published.
One person who took issue with them was Chrissie Carnell Bixler . . . who was one of Danny's accusers. She posted messages to Ashton and Mila, and they're pretty rough.
To Ashton, she said, quote, "I know the secrets your 'role model' keeps for you. Ones that would end you. Did you forget I was there? You were on speaker phone that night you called Danny on February 21, 2001. I heard everything.
"I heard the plan. In my opinion, you're just as sick as your 'mentor.'"
She didn't say what this supposed "plan" was, but she told Mila, quote, "I pray you begin to process what you experienced as a child on that set. Your old interviews are very telling . . .
"I feel very sad for you, and I hope you consider getting into therapy. You almost forget I was there the whole time those first five years of 'That '70s Show'. I remember everything."
What Bixler is alluding to there is the fact that Mila was only 14 when she started on "That '70s Show", while Ashton was 19 . . . and Danny was about a year older than him.
She also posted clips from some of the interviews she mentioned, showing Ashton and Danny acting kind of pervy with an underage Mila.
She also posted a clip from "Punk'd, "featuring Hilary Duff, who was underage at the time. In his narration, Ashton says Hilary is, quote, "one of the girls that we're all waitin' for to turn 18. Along with the Olsen Twins."
