The Rolling Stones announced the details of their new album at an event in London yesterday.
It's called "Hackney Diamonds", and it's their first album of original music in almost two decades. It drops on October 20th.
Mick Jagger explained that the title is like, quote, "getting your car window screen smashed on a Saturday night in Hackney." He added that the theme of the album is, quote, "angry and disgust."
On that note, the first single is actually CALLED "Angry". And they debuted the video, featuring Sydney Sweeney from "Euphoria".
There's also a track called "Sweet Sound of Heaven", featuring Lady Gaga. Mick called it gospel-flavored . . . to which Keith Richards replied, quote, "You've never been to church in your life."
The album features Mick, Keith, and Ronnie Wood, obviously. The late Charlie Watts appears on two tracks, and former bassist Bill Wyman returned to play on a song called "Live by the Sword".
The Stones' last studio album was 2005's "A Bigger Bang". In 2016, they released a covers album called "Blue & Lonesome", which earned them their third Grammy.
