GHOST CANCELS A SHOW... AGAIN

Ghost is making it a trifecta on their current US tour… but not in a good way. Recently, the red-hot Swedish rock group was forced to cancel two separate shows in Florida as Hurricane Idalia made its way to the state. Now, bad weather has forced another shutdown in a different state.

“We are as upset as you about last night’s events,” assured Ghost in a statement to fans in South Carolina. As supporting act Amon Amarth played their opening set, heavy rains came to the CCNB Amphitheatre in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Because the venue’s roof was insufficient to protect the equipment and the musicians, the set was halted.

Ghost also admitted that they attempted to get organizers to explain to the crowd what was happening to fans, but “we were met with legalese,” which resulted in fans being turned away. Despite the band’s apology, refunds are being issued, and, as of now, no make-up show has been announced.

Do You Need a Labor Day . . . Playlist?

Labor Day isn't a holiday that comes with its own set of "festive" songs.  So, we ventured out into the Internet and found some about work for the long weekend.

Here are some solid options for a Labor Day playlist:

1.  "9 to 5",  Dolly Parton

2.  "Blue Collar Man",  Styx

3.  "Takin' Care of Business",  Bachman-Turner Overdrive

4.  "She Works Hard for the Money",  Donna Summer

5.  "Working for the Weekend",  Loverboy

6.  "Working Class Hero",  John Lennon

7.  "A Hard Day's Night",  The Beatles

8.  "Work",  Rihanna featuring Drake

(If there was any doubt what this song was about, the word "WORK" appears 78 times in the lyrics.  True!  Although she mutters a lot of them.)

9.  "Work [B-word]",  Britney Spears

10.  "Manic Monday",  The Bangles

And just for fun to celebrate CAREERS, there's the Village People's video for "YMCA."
