Finally . . . musical theater for THE REST OF US!
Lin-Manuel Miranda . . . you know, the "Hamilton" guy . . . is developing a musical based on the 1979 cinematic masterpiece "The Warriors"!!!
As everyone SHOULD know, "The Warriors" tells the sensitive story of a Coney Island street gang stranded 30 miles outside their turf, with every other gang in New York City looking to WASTE them over a murder they didn't commit.
The movie was based on a 1965 novel by Sol Yurick, and it wasn't a musical. But it had a great soundtrack that included the Joe Walsh jam "In the City."
