Disturbed Drops Phoenix Show, Blames Heat

Is it hot enough for ya? As large parts of the US deal with sweltering heat waves, one rock band has had enough. Or at least their equipment has.

Disturbed postponed part of their “Take Back Your Life Tour” over the weekend due to extreme heat. Temperatures in Phoenix, AZ, soared to 115 degrees the day they were set to play alongside Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer and the band said it was causing their tech to go haywire.

"Tonight's Disturbed show will be postponed," said the band. "Due to the excessive heat, the band's equipment is not working properly. Please hold on to your tickets, and stay tuned for a rescheduled date." Disturbed & Company is set to resume performing in Houston on Thursday.

Jelly Roll Wants to Branch Out Into Acting

Don't be surprised if you see Jelly Roll on an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" soon.  That's where every actor gets their start, right?

In a new interview, he said he'd really like to branch out into acting.  Quote, "I want to act really bad."

He said it's not something he ever thought he'd do.  But watching fellow rapper Machine Gun Kelly get roles inspired him, so it suddenly seems possible.

That's actually been a trend for him ever since he was a kid.  Quote, "If I knew somebody personally that did something, I was like, 'Oh, this is achievable' . . . even if it was some third cousin's uncle who played at the Grand Ole Opry.'"

No word on when his acting career could start.  But for the next few months at least, he'll be focused on his music.  His "Backroad Baptism" arena tour kicks off this Friday.
