10% of People Prefer Using QR Codes for Restaurant Menus
A lot of restaurants started embracing QR codes during the pandemic because people were thinking more about how GERMY laminated and paper menus can get. And a lot of places have STUCK with QR codes.
A new poll asked people what they prefer, and 71% would rather look over a paper menu. 10% prefer the QR codes. And 15% don't care either way.
Broken down by demographic, QR codes are more popular out West . . . and among younger people. For example, for people in their 20s, about 1-in-5 prefer QR codes . . . for people 65 and older, it's 1-in-100.
That makes sense, because young people are used to working off their phones for everything. But one PERK of it for Boomers is that, on your phone, you can make the screen brighter and zoom in to make the font larger.
It's still a relatively new thing though. Only 45% of people say they have used a QR code to view a menu.
