Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong Jumps on Stage To Join Cover Band "Basket Case"
When you hear “Slim Jim’s Liquor Store,” you probably don’t think of anything remarkable. But a British UK band got a surprise at the interestingly-named pub while covering Green Day hit “Basket Case.”
Borderline Toxic, a London-based group, was performing at Slim Jim’s when Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong popped up out of the audience and joined them on the mic. "Eleven-year-old me panicked," admitted lead singer Kerry Glass. “I think I did three circles just running around the stage until he was like, 'Come on, sing with me'."
Eventually, Glass settled in and crooned with Armstrong. No one knows exactly what Armstrong was doing there, but last year the rocker swore he would leave the US in protest of the country’s abortion laws. Borderline Toxic and Green Day shared videos of the cameo on socials.

Tony Hawk Gathers Top Notch Band To Cover Nine Inch Nails Classic
He may be a legendary skater, but Tony Hawk isn’t going to let you forget that he’s also a quality rocker. The skater and “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater” businessman recently pulled together an A-list crew as he covered a Nine Inch Nails hit.
Hawk was joined by Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Brad Magers of The Bronx, and Ryan Leger from Every Time I Die to share their version of “Wish.” The collab was featured on YouTube channel “Mikey And His Yuke” and brought the musicians together through various webcams.
Making a cameo in the video as Hawk skates through the streets of Los Angeles is OG singer Trent Reznor, who crosses Hawk’s path and indicates what he thinks of Hawk (or is it the song?). Check out the impressive- and humorous- cover of “Wish”

When Kurt Cobain Died, Billy Corgan Lost His "Greatest Opponent"
Billy Corgan cried when Kurt Cobain died . . . because he lost him, quote, "greatest opponent." (???)
Billy's a competitive guy, and he wanted the Smashing Pumpkins to be the best. But only if they could BEAT the best.
Quote, "I don't want to win the championship because it's just me and a bunch of jabronis, to use a wrestling term."
He adds, quote, "Kurt was the most talented guy of our generation. Kurt had so much talent. It's frightening. It was like a John Lennon level of talent, where you're like, 'how can you have all this talent?' Or Prince, right?
"But Kurt's not here, sadly. So I looked around, I was like, 'All right, well, I could beat the rest of them for sure.'"
