Emo's Not Dead Cruise Announces Its Roster... For 2024.

Ever been on a cruise and thought, “I just wish it was a little more Emo”? Well, you’ll get your chance next year, as “The Emo’s Not Dead Cruise” has revealed its lineup for a 2024 excursion.

The second chapter in this emo + cruise combo will set sail from Miami next February and head to a private island in the Bahamas “for a melancholic summer experience like no other.” “We’ll be moshing all day, screaming all night while we brush shoulders with emo legends on the sea of tears,” promised event boss Matt Cutshall.

Confirmed acts leading the feel-fest are Yellowcard, Mayday Parade, Story Of The Year, and more. Tickets go on sale May 16th, and in true Emo fashion, Cutshall reminded fans, “Trust me, you’ll be down bad if you miss this one!”

Dolly Parton Reveals All-Star Collabs On "Rockstar" Album

If anyone in music could pull together one of history’s largest collaborations of multi-genre superstars to sing and play on one album, it would be Dolly Parton. The beloved “9 To 5” singer has revealed the lineup for her highly-anticipated “Rockstar” album, and it’s a doozy.

The 30-song album includes A-list music talent from all styles and sounds and is said feature nine original songs and 21 “rock anthems.” “I'm so excited to finally present my first rock and roll album 'Rockstar',” wrote Parton. “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time .... I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I've enjoyed putting it together!"

Among the stars previously confirmed to record with Dolly on “Rockstar” are Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, P!nk, Elton John and Ann Wilson of Heart. The star-heavy album is due out November 17th, but you can check out the full track list below.

Foo Fighters, The 1975 Among Austin City Limits Headliners

The two-week Austin City Limits festival always brings the heat regarding talent. And after they released their new roster yesterday, it became clear the 2023 edition would be no different.

Rock will be well-represented in the Texan event, with Foo Fighters, The 1975, and Alanis Morrissette among the festival’s headliners. Also set to perform are Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Mars Volta, and Thirty Seconds To Mars, among others.

Tickets- including multi-day passes- went on sale yesterday. Austin City Limits 2023 will stretch out from October 6th- 8th and 13th-15th this year in, you guessed it, Austin, TX.

Garth Brooks Is Banning Phones During His Las Vegas Residency.

 

Garth Brooks is enforcing a NO PHONES policy during his Las Vegas residency at Caesar's Palace.  Attendees will have to place their cell in a locked pouch until the end of the show.  And if they're caught with a phone, they'll be removed from the venue.  "Garth Brooks/Plus ONE" kicks off next week.

Iron Maiden Is Taking Legal Action Against a Lingerie Company Called Maiden Wear  

 

 

Iron Maiden takes its trademark seriously.  So seriously that they've threatened to take legal action against a lingerie company called Maiden Wear.

 

 

Maiden Wear makes corsets, shapewear, bras, panties, and all that good stuff.  But the band owns the trademark on "Iron Maiden" for all kinds of clothing . . . although lingerie isn't mentioned.

 

 

Still, they feel like the goods are "related," and the term "Maiden" in both brands is, quote, "confusingly similar."  And they say that confusion can, quote, "injure [the band's] reputation in the trade and with the public."
