Aerosmith Announced Their Farewell Tour. NO HOUSTON DATE???

As expected, Aerosmith announced their farewell tour yesterday.  The Peace Out Tour will kick off September 2nd in Philadelphia and wrap up on January 26th in Montreal, after 40 dates.

One of those dates is a hometown show in Boston on New Year's Eve.

The band says, quote, "It's not goodbye it's PEACE OUT!  Get ready and walk this way, you're going to get the best show of our lives."

Tickets go on sale Friday.  The Black Crowes are opening.  You can check out the dates at Aerosmith.com.

Unfortunately, drummer Joey Kramer will NOT be on the tour.  He has, quote, "regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health."

Joey will be 73 in June, but he's about the same age as the rest of the band.  Steven Tyler is the old man of the group, at 75.
