Flea Announces Podcast - "This Little Light Of Mine"

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist- and occasional actor- Flea has announced he is launching a podcast to explore the origins of people’s love of music. “This Little Light Of Mine” will be a 15-part podcast that interviews fellow musicians and discusses their history with music.

Currently confirmed guests include Rick Rubin and Patti Smith. And while Flea is eager to dive into what makes people “fall in love with music,” he has also created this podcast to benefit his Los Angeles-based non-profit, Silverlake Conservatory of Music.

“I wanted to do This Little Light to benefit my music school,” said Flea via a statement. “The idea behind it being music education, falling in love with music and embarking on a musical journey for your life… It’s fascinating to learn how every musician came to music and developed their study of it over time.”
