Game 1 of the World Series kicks off tonight between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros. Here are some stats and facts to get you pumped:

1. Most of America is pulling for the Phillies. They won a YouGov poll 59% to 41%. They didn't just win the popular vote. A state-by-state analysis shows them up 44 to 6.

2. The average World Series ticket costs $2,829 in Philadelphia but only $1,135 in Houston. The minimum ticket price for Game 1 on VividSeats is $419.

3. The Phillies spent more money to get to this point: $3.1 million per regular season win, compared to $1.98 million for the Astros.

4. They paid their players more: $267.8 million, compared to the Astros' $209.9 million.

5. The Phillies organization is worth more, too: $2.3 billion, compared to $1.98 billion. Of course, the Yankees are worth $6 billion.  (They're the second most valuable sports franchise, behind the Dallas Cowboys.)

 6. The Astros won their last World Series in 2017 . . . the Phillies in 2008.

7. But the Astros have the highest-paid player of the two teams. They gave Jose Altuve $29 million this year.  Bryce Harper was Philly's top earner, with $27.5 million.

8. The cost of a 30-second commercial during the World Series is $290,000. For this year's Super Bowl, it was $7 million.

9. The 2021 World Series generated $235 million in ad revenue . . . while that year's Super Bowl made $481 million.

10. Here's a crazy stat: For the first time since 1950, shortly after Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, no U.S.-born black players are expected to play in the World Series.

11. A bettor in Colorado placed a wager back in April on the Astros to beat the Phillies in the series. He bet $50, and if he wins, he collects $125,000.
