Criminals: Two Guys Crashed Their Truck on 4/20 with 500 Pounds of Weed

Two Guys Crashed Their Truck on 4/20 and Got Caught with 500 Pounds of Weed

Well, this would really harsh your buzz on the biggest weed day of the year . . .

The driver of a semi tried to avoid a wreck on the interstate in central Missouri on Wednesday, which was 4/20.

Then a pickup truck rear-ended the semi. And another tractor-trailer crashed into the back of the pickup. So it was a big pile-up.

Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in it. But a bunch of bags that were in the bed of the pickup truck got scattered all over the highway.

And it turned out those bags contained 500 pounds of ILLEGAL MARIJUANA.

The three people in the truck were all from Mexico, and at least two of them got arrested . . . 32-year-old Victor Acosta, and a 24-year-old named Dave Navarro.  (No, not the Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction.)

There was also a woman in the car with them, but it's not clear if she's facing charges.

Victor and Dave are both potentially looking at 10 to 30 YEARS in prison for drug trafficking. Dave also got charged with reckless driving.  (KSDK / KMIZ / NY Post)  (Here's a photo of the weed scattered on the highway, and here it is piled up.)

A Former Cop Robbed a Family Dollar at Gunpoint . . . Then Returned the Money, and Said, "I Can't Do This"

Usually, when someone robs a dollar store, they're PRETTY desperate. It's a dollar store, after all . . . there are going to be a lot of ONES in the register. But this is an interesting twist . . .

A 63-year-old former cop walked into a Family Dollar in North Carolina last Saturday. He was hanging around the counter, so the clerk asked if he needed help. That's when he pulled a gun and demanded cash. He got it, and walked out.

Then, a short time later, he came back in . . . dropped the cash on the counter . . . and said "I can't do this." He walked out a second time, but he didn't get far.

The cops showed up, and they caught the guy out front. Apparently, he was LOCKED OUT of his vehicle. Unfortunately, we don't know if he realized he was locked out and THEN had a change of heart . . . or if he didn't discover his predicament until AFTER he'd returned the money.

In any event, he was arrested for armed robbery and is being held in jail on a $75,000 bond. There's no word how much he originally stole from the store.  (So maybe he just looked in the bag . . . saw $32.00 . . . and took it back in.)
