It's On! Nikki Sixx Says Pearl Jam Is One of the Most Boring Bands in the World
NIKKI SIXX says he CHUCKLED when he heard about EDDIE VEDDER's hate for MOTLEY CRUE. And then he fired back . . . saying PEARL JAM is one of the most boring bands in the world.
To catch you up, Eddie recently talked to the "New York Times" about an early job he had loading gear at a venue . . . and he said, quote, "I'd end up at shows that I wouldn't have chosen to go to. Motley Crue: [Eff] you. I hated how it made the fellas look . . . the women look. It felt so vacuous."
After hearing this, Nikkie tweeted, quote, "Made me laugh today reading how much the singer in Pearl Jam hated Motley Crue. Now considering that they're one of the most boring bands in history it's kind of a compliment isn't it?"
He also compared Eddie's singing style to singing with marbles in your mouth . . . that it's "very zen." (Ironically, both Eddie and Motley Crue are touring this year . . . which side do you choose?)

The Cure Working on New Album
Robert Smith announces The Cure has a new album in the works! The lead singer/songwriter says the band is excited to hit the road and develop some new tracks.
Smith tweets, "We will be performing songs from a new album when we next play…or we won't be playing at all! And I really want to play…so that means…my desire to release a new album is overwhelming!"
The band is set to go on tour in October, so the pressure is on to finish their first record since 2008's "4:13 Dream." The group has confirmed that the tour's line-up will feature bassist Simon Gallup, who previously claimed to have left the band due to "betrayal." But our sources say he has rejoined the band and will play alongside the group in October.
