Here Is The Most Expensive Pizza In The World

Can you imagine shelling out $12-thousand for a pizza? It’s a real thing. In fact, the Louis XIII pizza is ranked by Luxatic as the most expensive pizza in the world. Price aside, it’s not like you can just waltz into Renato Viola in Salerno, Italy and get one – it’s available only by special order.

So what’s on this pricey pie for two? There are three types of extremely rare caviar, prawns (that’s shrimp), lobster and buffalo mozzarella and everything is topped off with pink salt that is imported from Australia. It’s also presented on special dishes and with special cutlery. Oh, and it’s paired with Remy Martin Cognac Louis XIII, Cardenal Mendoza Sanchez Charter Real Romate Finos and Champagne Krug Clos Du Mesni 1995, so there’s that.

But before you think they’re the only game in the world with insanely expensive pizza, buckle up – “Luxatic” has nine more to consider:

  • The Magic Gold – $108: This comes out of the kitchen at the Magic Oven in Toronto, Canada. It’s gluten free, vegan – and garnished with a 24-carat gold leaf.
  • Triple Mille-Feuille Pizza – $140: Also from Domino’s in Japan, this one’s special because it’s got a three-layer crust with cheese stashed in between.
  • Gordon Ramsay’s Pizza – $250: You’ll find this at his Maze restaurant in London. This was actually in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s most expensive pizza for some time, but the price actually varies depending on the amount of truffles (the mushroom, not the chocolate) you want on it. Besides that truffles, this pizza is features an Italian onion puree with white truffle pasta, buffalo mozzarella, fontina cheese, pancetta, fresh herbs and cep mushrooms.
  • The C6 – $450: Also north of the border in Canada, you’ll find this one at Stevetson Pizza in Richmond, British Columbia. It’s a seafood-lover’s dream featuring Lobster Thermidor, black Alaskan cod, smoked salmon, tiger prawns and Russian Osetra caviar.
  • Nino Bellissima Pizza – $1,000: Created by chef Giovani Spatala at Gino’s Restaurant in New York City. It’s a 12-inch, thin crust pizza with two lobster tails and six types of caviar on top.
  • Pizza Royale 007 – $4,200: As the name suggests, this pizza was inspired by the super spy James Bond. The pizza, which is the creation of the Domenico Crolla Restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland, is also a 12-inch pie. What makes it fancy? Venison medallions, prosciutto of the utmost quality, vintage balsamic vinegar…oh, and caviar soaked in Dom Perignon, Scottish-smoked salmon, lobster marinated in 100-year-old cognac. There’s also a 24-carat gold flakes topping. This one was also created raise money for the Fred Hollows Foundation.
  • The Miss Verdun – $4,250: A special blend of white truffles, lobster, caviar and 24-carat gold flakes is on the pie…but get this, a personal chef will come and cook it in your kitchen and you’ll be serenaded by a a chamber orchestra. Created by the Verdun restaurant in Montreal, Canada… they also have a $333 burger on the menu.
  • Pizza for Lovers – $8,180: The brainchild of Favitta’s Family Pizzeria in Henrietta New York…this one is less about fancy food and more about marketing idea. The pizza comes in the shape of a heart and is sprinkled with diamonds, a diamond ring and served with a bottle of Dom Perignon.
