Alec Baldwin's ABC interview aired last night, and Alec explained how the gun supposedly went off and killed Halyna Hutchins, even though he supposedly didn't pull the trigger.
He said, quote, "This is a marking rehearsal . . . She's guiding me through how she wants me to hold the angle. I draw the gun out . . . the gun wasn't meant to be fired in that angle . . .
"I'm holding the gun where she told me to hold it. She said, just 'cheat it down'. I let go of the hammer of the gun, the gun goes off . . . I pulled the hammer as far back as I could without cocking the gun."
He said everyone was shocked when Halyna collapsed and thought she had only fainted. Quote, "The notion that there was a live round in that gun did not dawn on me until 45 minutes or an hour later."
Alec's statement is already being met with skepticism. A movie armorer who's done more than 30 years in the business was asked the chance of Alec's statement being true . . . to which he said, quote, "On a scale of one to 10? Zero."
He added, quote, "You know, guns don't go up by themselves, right? It's an inanimate object. It has no batteries. It's a very reliable device that shoots when you press the trigger, and it doesn't shoot when you don't press the trigger."
