Dave Grohl Keeps “Hanukkah Sessions” Going With Van Halen Tribute

Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin are keeping the Hanukkah celebrations going. For night four of their “Hanukkah Sessions,” the Foo Fighters duo take on a rock classic, “Jump” by Van Halen.

Dave honors David Lee Roth as one of the “loudest and proudest of hard-rocking Jews,” who once credited his Bar Mitzvah preparation as his earliest vocal training. They make the most out of their tribute to his rock legacy, showing off their keyboard licks, “jumps,” and dance moves.

Dave and Greg will be serving up covers every day of Hanukkah. Before the Van Halen cover, they took on Lisa Loeb, Ramones, and Barry Manilow. Check out the Van Halen cover to the right.

  • ONE MORE THING! Foo Fighters have called off their 2022 Minneapolis show after clashing with the venue over “COVID safety measures.” They were supposed to play the Huntington Bank Stadium on August 3rd on their upcoming United States tour, but they’ve pulled out of the gig and are working on finding a “suitable replacement” venue that “prioritizes the health and safety of everyone working and attending the show.” Check out the rest of their tour dates HERE.

Creed’s “With Arms Wide Open” Goes Double Platinum

Creed’s power balled “With Arms Wide Open” is still a hit two decades later. The song has been certified as a double-platinum single by the RIAA for over two million digital units.

“With Arms Wide Open” was the third single off Creed’s 1999 album “Human Clay,” after “Higher” and “What If.” It was originally written by Scott Stapp as a letter to his future child after learning he was going to be a father while the band was out on tour in support of their previous album, “My Own Prison.”

“With Arms Wide Open” was a Mainstream Rock chart-topper and Billboard Hot 100 leader. After being released as a single in April 2000, the RIAA reports that the song was certified gold in 2019, and then platinum in 2020.
