If Jennifer Hudson has her way, she might bedoing her thing on daytime TV. She’s reportedly developing a new syndicated talk show with Warner Bros. and Telepictures that’ll take over the space currently occupied byEllen DeGeneres.
The new show won’t be a replacement. But it will be positioned as Warner Bros. TV’s new flagship daytime talk show now that “Ellen” is ending its 19-year run. The as-yet-unnamed talk show is slated to premiere fall 2022.
Sources say that Warner Bros. wanted a marquee star. J-Hud emerged as the frontrunner after they spoke to about 30 people. She’s already has experience in the unscripted space beyond “Idol”: She served as a coach on both the US and UK versions of “The Voice,” which relies a great deal on personality. We’ll keep you posted…
