Known affectionately as "the last great rock star," grunge icon Scott Weiland died on December 3, 2015. The singer and songwriter was just 48. His death came suddenly while on the road with his new band THE WILDABOUTS.

Nine Inch Nails Collab Single Coming

Nine Inch Nails has new music on the way. The band Health has teased their upcoming collaboration with Nine Inch Nails.
The new single “Isn’t Everyone” arrives tomorrow. After Health’s last collaboration album, they thought it’d be “amazing” to work with Nine Inch Nails… and now that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have won some Oscars for their recent work as composers, they’ve had time to focus on new material.
Health first met Nine Inch Nails when they supported the band on tour during their early years. Teasing the collab, Health says the song has “some pretty poignant messaging relating to being an American in America.”

Nirvana Sued Over Merch
Nirvana is being sued for copyright infringement over some of their classic merch. Jocelyn Susan Bundy, the granddaughter of prominent 20th-century academic Charles-Wilfred Scott-Giles, is the one dragging them to court.
Bundy claims Nirvana has been using an image created by her grandfather without permission since 1997. The image is a map of the circles of hell, as described by 14th-century writer Dante Alighieri in “Dante’s Inferno,” which appears on Nirvana t-shirts and other merch to this day.
In her lawsuit against Nirvana and Live Nation Merchandise, Bundy says Nirvana has in the past “implied that Kurt Cobain created the illustration or, in the alternative, that the illustration is in the public domain in the United States.

Greta Van Fleet is giving fans a taste of how their latest album “The Battle at Garden’s Gate” will sound live. The band has released a performance video of the song “Tears of Rain.”
The video has been uploaded to the band’s YouTube channel as part of the GRAMMY-winners’ “Candlelight Sessions.” The last video in the series was a performance of “Broken Bells.”
