IG Wednesday: Rachel Greenbaum

Hi Rod!

Happy Tuesday! Greg Gosler gave me your contact info. I’m writing to ask for a shout out on your show for a contest I’m in.

I will attach a link to a podcast I did recently if you care to skim. Warning, it’s long.

I’m currently in the semi finals for The Next Maxim Cover Girl. This means I’m 1 of 24 women and I’ve already beaten out over 30,000 women. This round ends Nov. 7 at 11PM EDT. I was holding strong at 1st but now I'm down to 3rd in my group (of 3). 😐 Only 1st moves forward to finals. So time is truly of the essence. 🤞🏼

The contest supports Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors, which I love since I volunteer every year for a X-Country adaptive ski program for wounded vets.

There is some limited info about me in my Maxim profile, but here is more of my background story.

Thank you Greg for sending her our way, and Good Luck Rachel. I'm sure you will get a few more votes today. ~ Rod

If you HAVE or see an awesome Instagram that we should feature send link to rod@thebuzz.com and tell me WHY I should run it.

Here is  Rachel Greenbaum and her soon to grow 1,345 followers!

Get more info and see the pod cast she mentioned below.

Here is the podcast:

Born in the U.S. but raised in Canada, Rachel Greenbaum was a ballerina and competitive figure skater. She has fond memories of dancing in the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics Arts Festival. Several moves throughout her life including a college year studying abroad in France laid the groundwork for Rachel’s insatiable travel bug. Returning from France, she began teaching a cardio kickboxing class in TX. Later while studying Photojournalism in CA, she competed in the U.S. Women’s Nationals Boxing Championship and was ranked 6th in the country! Rachel filmed the 2006 war (Hezbollah’s attack on Israel from Lebanon), and produced a short documentary for her graduation project. Soon after graduating, she changed from training Muay Thai to training Krav Maga, and quickly began the Instructor Training Program. Her hobby eventually became her full time career, and Rachel is now the Krav Maga Alliance (International Krav Maga licensing co) Manager, and Director of StrikeFit®, KMA’s Heavy Bag Kickboxing Program, which allows her to combine her love of travel, language, teaching, and fitness. She has earned her Instructor Black Belt in Krav Maga, the loving nickname of “Meanbaum” from her students and instructor candidates, and a certification to teach Lagree Fitness (Pilates on crack), along the way. Rachel has completed multiple firearms and tactical courses including Foreign Weapons use. She is also Force certified, which qualifies her to teach self defense to Military and Law Enforcement. She is passionate about never missing her annual C.A.M.O. volunteer week in Colorado, (adaptive cross-country Wounded Warrior ski program). Rachel dabbles some in Hollywood too, having trained actresses like Aubrey Plaza and Natasha Lyonne for roles, consulting on Krav Maga, and has even done a little acting, fight choreography and stunt work herself. She was also hired as the only female and only fight coach for a Media Promotional Event for the most recent Tomb Raider movie release. Rachel has recently co-founded and taken on the role of spokeswoman for a new free-standing heavy bag fitness tech company gearing up to launch. She is now competing in The Maxim Magazine Cover Girl 2019 competition where she is a semi finalist, beating out over 30,000 women already. Rachel is truly hoping to come out the Grand Prize winner on November 21st, and officially strut into her newest given nickname, “Baumshell”.

Thank you kindly for your consideration and I hope to hear back. I lived in San Antonio for years and my mom is still there.

Kindest Regards,

Rachel Greenbaum
