Win Butler Gives Update On Next Arcade Fire Album
Arcade Fire plans to head back to Texas to record after writing new material during lockdown. Win Butler gave fans the update about Arcade Fire‘s “surprising” sixth album, and their plans to return to Texas to record the new material.
Speaking to producer Rick Rubin on a recent edition of the Broken Record podcast, he also revealed that Arcade Fire had been writing for a year before the coronavirus crisis brought their first recording session to a halt. However, he said the enforced extra downtime during lockdown led to an outpouring of creativity.
He added, “In a way, it feels like a more extreme version of what we would’ve done anyway.”

Ghost Gives Update On New Album
Ghost fans got their hopes up after a recent interview with frontman Tobias Forge who suggested that the band’s new album would arrive this winter. Unfortunately, that timeline was too good to be true, and Forge clarified what he meant.
Ghost will record the new LP this winter, with plans to finish it in spring and release it in fall 2021. Despite the disappointment of fans, Forge added that the projected release will hopefully fall in line with the band’s return to touring.
Prior to the pandemic, Forge had said he didn’t want to release a new Ghost album in late 2020 as to not compete with the November U.S. election and hinted at an early 2021 release.
