The Foo Fighters Are Celebrating Their 25th Anniversary
This next story has been designed to do nothing more than make you feel old. The FOO FIGHTERS are hitting the road in April to celebrate their 25th anniversary. That's right, they've been around for a quarter of a century.
The 2020 Van Tour will launch April 12th in Phoenix and wrap up May 20th in Hamilton, Ontario. More dates may be added.
In addition to the music, each stop on the tour will feature a preview of DAVE GROHL's new documentary, "What Drives Us" . . . where he explores, quote, "the physical and psychological toll of touring in vans."

Primus Honoring Rush On Tour This Summer
Primus will pay tribute to Rush this summer with their North American “A Tribute To Kings” tour. The trio will perform Rush’s classic 1977 album “A Farewell To Kings” in its entirety on the trek, along with some of their own music.
“Geddy [Lee], Alex [Lifeson], and [the late] Neil [Peart] had been superheroes to [us] in our teens, so when we all became pals while touring together in the early 90s we were pretty delighted,” the band says. “The ‘Tribute To Kings’ tour will be just as it is implied, a respectful and loving tribute to three spectacular musicians, songwriters, legends and friends.”
The tour kicks off on May 26th, with over 40 dates until it wraps on August 2nd in Phoenix, Arizona – Wolfmother will open for Primus.

Pearl Jam has been fighting to get concert tickets into the hands of fans and not scalpers for years, and now they are taking another stand.
The band, who sued Ticketmaster back in the nineties, has sent a letter to two Democratic representatives pointing out what they see as flaws in the new BOSS Act, which is meant to crack down on scalping. The “Better Oversight of Secondary Sales and Accountability in Concert Ticketing Act” was introduced in 2009 by New Jersey’s Bill Pascrell and Frank Pallone, Jr. And while Pearl Jam supports many aspects of the bill, there are two things they take issue with.
The band writes that the act is “flawed,” noting it “primarily, if not entirely, benefits professional ticket resellers using the so-called ‘secondary market.” Specifically, they take issue with the act’s plan to ban non-transferable ticketing, something they are using for their “Gigaton” tour. The practice actually helps prevent the tickets from winding up on the secondary market.
They also have issues with the act requiring a ticket seller to disclose the number of tickets available to the general public a week before going on sale, noting that resellers care more about that info that the general public. They also say it limits an act's ability to "create additional ticket opportunities."
