Green Day Closing Out The Decade With Two Big Performances

Green Day is closing out the decade with a bang. The band has announced appearances at two major events in December, the 2019 Game Awards and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

On Thursday, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will perform this year’s Game Awards. Apparently, they have a big “game-related” announcement to make… and word is it has something to do with Virtual Reality.

Then, Green Day will rock the West Coast edition of “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.” That airs starting at 8pm on ABC on December 31st. Fans won’t have to wait too long once 2020 begins for the band’s new album, which drops on February 7th.

Duran Duran & New Order Docs To Air On Showtime This Month

Music fans will want to tune into Showtime later this month. The cable network is set to air documentaries on both Duran Duran and New Order on December 27th.

The music night will kick off at 7:30 pm with “New Order: Decades,” part doc, part concert film, which follows the band as they restage their 2017 show “So It Goes,” featuring artist Liam Gillick and a 12-piece synthesizer orchestra.

It will be followed at 9 pm by “Duran Duran: There’s Something You Should Know,” which details the band’s career, featuring interviews with the group as well as never-before-seen archival footage. Check out trailers for both to the right.
