Music: Jack Black is contributing to a new Hanukkah Album!

Jack Black is contributing to a new Hanukkah Album!

We've got more Christmas music than we know what to do with. It's about time for this:

JACK BLACK, the FLAMING LIPS, and HAIM are among the artists contributing to the new holiday album"Hanukkah+". And it comes out a week from Friday!

Black actually delivered TWO songs. He opens the album with the traditional"Oh Hanukkah", and closes it with"Chad Gadya", which closes the Passover seder meal.

The album's producer says, quote, "There's a real Jewish sparkle to it, and Jack really gave us a frame to hold the rest of the record."

I promised in my "winning" email that I would share pics, so I'm keeping my promise. (Mainly in hopes of keeping my ticket winning karma in the positive.)

Modest Mouse was

great, but they didn't play their most famous song, Float On. I understand you want to promote your new stuff, but ya gotta play the one song everybody knows. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who was disappointed.

The Black Keys totally rocked! They sounded great, their theatrics were awesome, and they definitely played their hits, while still playing their new stuff.

I love the Rod Ryan Show! I listen everyday on my way to work. Y'all have great energy and Tessa fits right in! You make my 1.5 hour commute not only bearable, but entertaining! Thanks for all y'alls work and for providing us listeners opportunities to check out some of our favorite bands! Rock on!
