New Deftones Album Coming Next Year
Deftones fans can expect new music next year. Chino Moreno has revealed that the band is eyeing a 2020 release for their next album.
The band has been hard at work in the studio for “about a year now.” Luckily for fans, Deftones have already recorded an “album’s worth” of material. But they’re not ones to hole up in the studio until it’s done, they’re taking their time perfecting the record.
“We are kind of enjoying our time making it, it’s been a cool process,” Moreno adds. “It will definitely be out next year, I’m hoping that it’ll be earlier on in the year.”

Robert Plant Can't Relate to "Stairway to Heaven" Anymore
It's time to come to terms with the fact that ROBERT PLANT is just too old to rock and roll. In a recent interview, he admitted that he can't even relate to "Stairway to Heaven" anymore. (!!!)
For the record, he considers it a good song with, quote, "very, very good musical construction." It's his lyrics that turn him off.
He says, quote, "Lyrically, now, I can't relate to it, because it was so long ago . . . I would have no intention ever to write along those abstract lines anymore. I look at it and I tip my hat to it, and I think there are parts of it that are incredible.
"The way that Jimmy[Page] took the music through, and the way that the drums almost climaxed and then continued . . . It's a very beautiful piece. But lyrically, now, and even vocally, I go, 'I'm not sure about that.'"
