Music: Rage Against the Machine Is Reuniting

Rage Against the Machine Is Reuniting

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE is reuniting next year. They apparently have a series of shows booked for next spring . . . including a headlining gig at Coachella in April.

This would be their SECOND Coachella reunion. They originally split up in 2000, before reuniting at Coachella in 2007. They toured in the following years, but then broke up again. They last played together back in 2011.

Not long after the news broke,TOM MORELLO's current band PROPHETS OF RAGE called it quits.

B-REAL said, quote, "It's been an honor to rock stages and people of all ages with these guys. It's been a great time and great memories in a short time . . . It was fun while it lasted and I hope we left a big impression and that the music has been a source of inspiration for those that needed it."

That suggests the Rage thing might be long-term . . . but the band hasn't commented yet.

My Chemical Romance Reunion Sells Out Almost Instantly

My Chemical Romance fans are clearly psyched that the band is reuniting – even if it’s just for one night. Tickets for the reunion show instantly sold out after going on sale on Friday.

And it was seriously instant – it was only a matter of minutes before fans snagged all the tickets. While some fans are upset they couldn’t get their hands on tickets, the band is grateful for the overwhelming response.

“It is truly unbelievable to us the happiness we have experienced over the past two days,” the band writes on Instagram. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the warm welcome back. We truly did not expect this.”

Panic! At The Disco Has Topped Hot Rock Songs Chart For A Year

Panic! At The Disco has broken a chart record thanks to their mega-hit “High Hopes.” The band has officially led Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart for an entire year.

The single first ruled the chart dated November 10th, 2018, and it’s still on top on the chart dated November 2nd of this year. That’s 41 weeks in the top spot, but a total streak of 52 weeks if you count the reign of their other single “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.”

That marks the longest streak in the chart’s decade-long history, previously achieved by Imagine Dragons.

Red Hot Chili Peppers & Eddie Vedder Headline Flea’s Benefit

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Eddie Vedder were the headliners of Silverlake Conservatory of Music’s benefit show this year. The third installment of the benefit for the school co-founded by Flea in 2001 was held on Saturday in the parking lot of the Conservatory, once again hosted by Marc Maron.

After a short stand-up set by Maron, Vedder hit the stage… and his nearly hour-long set was the highlight of the night. He played some Pearl Jam hits, including the song he said includes a line “borrowed” from the Chili Peppers, “Wishlist.”

Vedder also borrowed the Chili Peppers themselves for the performance. Together, they rocked covers of Prince, Jimi Hendrix, and a couple more Pearl Jam cuts. The crowd included the likes of Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, and artist Shepard Fairey.
