Music: Greta Van Fleet Working on Something "Quite Different"

Greta Van Fleet Are Working on Something "Quite Different" For their Next Album

It seems like you either love GRETA VAN FLEET or you think they're soulless clones of LED ZEPPELIN. Well, it sounds like they're hoping to move past that criticism on their next album.

Guitarist JAKE KISZKA says, quote, "There's a little evolution, I suppose, with everything. We're working on something quite different, I suppose . . . it's sort of an example of where we are musically right now."

Jake's brother, bassist SAM KISZKA, adds, quote, "I think it's really the next step in the evolution of what we want to do.

"[We're] incorporating more sounds, more tones, more styles of music, perhaps and kind of taking a step in the cinematic direction."

Scott Stapp Honors Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington With New Song

Scott Stapp pays tribute to late rock legends Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington in his new solo single, “Gone Too Soon.” The track is featured on his upcoming album, “The Space Between The Shadows,” due for release on July 19th.

The former Creed singer is making a comeback to music after his own struggle with addiction. He’s now been sober for five years. In a statement, Stapp explains the inspiration behind the new track.

“Somewhere around the time Chester passed, and we had already been reeling from Cornell’s passing, I was flipping through the news and saw the skyrocketing suicide rate of US military vets, all these people OD-ing [from drugs], the school shootings,” Stapp says in a statement. “I was inspired by a series of events that just came together to impact me as a human being, all at once.” Check out the song to the right.
