A Guy Woke Up from a Six-Week Coma and Had Christmas in February

We didn't think we'd be talking about a Christmas story in February, but this is pretty unique . . .

Back in mid-December, a 24-year-old guy in San Diego named Ryan Caine went to the E.R. with pneumonia, which turned septic. And he almost died.

He had to be in a medically-induced coma for six-and-a-half weeks, and doctors weren't sure if he'd ever wake up. But he did, and he finally got to go home last Wednesday.

One of the first things he said when he woke up was, "Did I miss CHRISTMAS," because it's his favorite holiday.

His parents live on a street in San Diego where everyone goes all-out with their decorations. People come from all over to see them, and locals call it "Christmas Card Lane."  (It's even got a Wikipedia page .)

Anyway, Ryan was excited to be heading home. But he was also bummed he missed the holidays. So his mom told him not to worry. And when he showed up on Wednesday, their Christmas decorations were still up, including their tree.

But the best part is a bunch of their neighbors put their decorations back up too. They even did some caroling out on the street.
